Why
do we get razor burn in the first place?
The skin has a mantle
that maintains a slightly acidic condition to prevent the invasion
of bacteria–sort a first line defense against infection and
disease. When we shave we wash the area first with soap (which
is alkaline) then we cover it with shave cream (more soap). The
soap destroys the acid mantle; the razor makes microscopic cuts
in the skin, bacteria enters, razor burn is the result.
AromaShave restores the acid mantle after washing with soap, removes the need
for lather by providing better lubrication, and improves visibility–with
no lather, you can see what you’re shaving. AromaShave protects the acid
mantle with antiseptics, astringents, and skin tonics to leave the skin soft
and supple. It’s a
new idea . . . forget everything you know about shaving and start fresh.
